Simple recipe of Mixed Vegetables

 


Mixed Vegetable is a popular and nutritious dish that is enjoyed all around the world. Here's a simple recipe for you

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, beans, peas, corn, potatoes, etc.)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Wash and chop the mixed vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat.
  3. Add cumin seeds and wait until they start to crackle.
  4. Add the chopped onion, green chili, and grated ginger. Cook until the onions are soft and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes, cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the spices are fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the mixed vegetables to the pan and gently stir to combine.
  7. Pour in the water and bring to a simmer.
  8. Cover the pan and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with chopped cilantro, over steamed rice. Enjoy!
